New redemption NPCs have appeared in Shattrath’s Lower City, Ironforge, and Orgrimmar on the Test Realms. The pig farmers raise special Golden Pigs for those who have a code from the recent Blizzard Worldwide Invitational which was held this past weekend in Seoul, Korea. These basically use the piglet model (made so popular by the Children’s Week pet “Mr. Wiggles”) including the occasionally hay-eating. The pet commemorates the lunar calendar’s “Year of the Fire Pig” (or Boar); every fifth Year of the Boar is a fire year. This particular Fire Pig year is being celebrated as a Year of the Golden Pig, alleged to occur every 600 years (1 in every 10 Fire Pig years). Supposedly, babies born in a Golden Pig year will be especially prosperous.
