Alchemy

Alchemy is the trade skill of transmutation. The skill takes common herbs and other elements and combines them to produce potions, elixirs, and oils. High level alchemists can even transmute one substance into another - iron into gold, fire into air. It complements the herbalism skill. Alchemists have the ability to learn new recipes when crafting items, representing a breakthrough discovery. This is very rare and happens only with highly skilled alchemists.

Alchemists may specialize in specific product types upon reaching L68 and 325 Alchemy. Specialization allows an alchemist to occasionally produce multiple results from a single crafting attempt (e.g., creating two potions instead of one). Alchemists may specialize in potions, elixirs, or transmutations. To switch specializations, an alchemist must speak with the original specialist trainer and pay a nominal fee.

Skill

At skill level 50, alchemists may learn the Mixology passive skill, which increases the effect and/or duration of any elixir or flask that they are able to craft.
