First Aid

First Aid provides limited healing abilities. This skill is particularly important for classes without healing, and the production of anti-venom also generally useful. It takes a higher skill level to craft bandages than to use them, so the higher level bandages sometimes have trade value. Bandaging is a channeled activity, so the bandager cannot take other actions during the process. Damage taken by either party interrupts the bandaging, so this is most effective between battles. There is also a 1 minute cooldown between bandage applications.

This is the most frustrating of the old artisan quests. Just remember that you can repeat it. When repeating, make sure you trash any leftover trauma bandages so that the good Doctor will replenish your supply. What has worked for some of us is standing back from the doctor so that most of the cots are in view. Head for the critical patients first, then any of the next tier. Back off and go for the next set of critical patients, then the next set of second tiers. Back off and go for any new criticals, then the least injured from the first set, then the new second tiers. To keep your focus, sacrifice the beds closest to the door so you don't even pay attention to them. It may take a couple tries, but eventually you'll get it. Good luck! Although this is no longer necessary for Artisan First Aid, there's still a benefit in that the doctor will train your First Aid bandage skills (at least up to Heavy Runecloth) for free.
