The Aldor

The Aldor Rise

The Aldor are faithful servants of the Light, followers of the Sha'tar naaru. This order of draenei priests forms one of the main factions in the neutral city of Shattrath. They are suspicious of newcomers, but if you earn their regard as an ally in their ongoing rivalry with the Scryers, they have much to offer. Quartermaster Endarin sells most of the Aldor items, while Inscriber Saalyn's inscriptions will add potency to a shoulder slot item in exchange for Holy Dust.

Note that the Aldor are vehemently opposed to the Scryers. Completing quests or otherwise helping the Scryers causes a large loss of Aldor reputation. Similarly, assisting the Aldor causes a large loss of Scryers reputation. It is possible to switch between the two factions by using the repeatable collection quests, but you can never be friendly with both factions at the same time.

Reputation from Kills

No known mobs yield any favor with the Aldor when slain.

Quests

The principal quests earning Aldor reputation begin at the Aldor Rise in Shattrath City. The other principal quest hubs are the Altar of Sha'tar, Shadowmoon Valley, and the Netherstorm. Many of the quests require Friendly to obtain. Khadgar's "[65] Allegiance to the Aldor" quest provides sufficient reputation to move from Neutral to Friendly, at the cost of becoming equally unpopular with the Scryers. Completing any quest for the Aldor costs you Scryer reputation equal to 110% of the reputation earned for the Aldor (so an Aldor quest that earns 250 rep will also cost you 275 Scryer rep). Note that you must complete Khadgar's Shattrath City tour ("[65] City of Light") to gain access to the initial quest.

Repeatable Reputation Quests for the Aldor

Through Neutral, you may collect and turn in Dreadfang Venom Sacs. Once you reach Friendly, you gain access to "[70] Insignias of the Burning Legion" given by Adyen the Lightwarden and "[70] A Cleansing Light" given by Ishanah in the Aldor Rise area in Shattrath City. For the first, you must collect 10 Insignia of the Burning Legion dropped by Legion-allied mobs across Outland. For Ishanah, you must turn in a Fel Armament in exchange for Holy Dust (required to purchase Inscriptions).
