The Feast of Noblegarden (8-14 April)

Brightly Colored Eggs!Spring Strider“The great feast of Noblegarden has long been celebrated by the races of the Alliance and recently adopted by those of the Horde. On this joyous day, it is customary for the nobles and lords from each race to hide coins, candy, and the occasional treasures within special eggs painted to look like wildflowers. These eggs are then scattered around the major cities for the citizenry to find. From heroes to commoners, and everyone in between – the feast of Noblegarden is meant to bring communities together to share the joy of life and friendship.” – Blizzard

Noblegarden normally falls on Western Easter Sunday and is an Azerothian adaption of some of the observances of that holiday (which are, in themselves, adaptions of other cultural traditions). In particular, this festival focuses on hiding and finding Brightly Colored Eggs.

Noblegarden vendors and Spring Collector/Gatherers may be found outside the “first” inns (the low-level starting zones such as Goldshire, Kharanos, or Razor Hill). These low-level zones are seeded with ground spawn “Brightly Colored Eggs” which may contain chocolate or other festive present. As long as there’s competition, just find a spot where you can see 2-3 spawn points and camp them. If everyone loots the eggs quickly, the egg farming goes very quickly. Eggs are also placed by other players using a Noblegarden Egg. The usual content of the eggs is a Noblegarden Chocolate which serves as both a consumable and currency for the season. Noblegarden Merchant/Vendors will exchange chocolates for most of the other items found inside eggs:

Unless otherwise noted, none of the Noblegarden items are soulbound, so there should be a good secondary market for the clothing items. Some of the best areas to hunt: Kharanos (eggs show up well against the white trees) and Falconwing Square (open area and good concentration of spawn points). The most successful hunting grounds are ones that are fairly empty (no competition) or where each spawn point is camped, maximizing the respawn rate.

Practical Notes

If you’re going for the achievements, work your way through “Chocoholic” first, since you could find any of the other other items you need in the eggs. It is possible to solo “Hard-Boiled” by getting the Noblegarden Bunny buff from opening eggs, hearthing to Dalaran, taking the Caverns of Time portal, and then hopping your way across Tanaris and Un’goro while avoiding any combat. It’s probably easier to get a group together with Blossoming Branches and all go over together. Also, you can wear the Elegant Dress, White Tuxedo Shirt, and Black Tuxedo Pants all the same time, so you can be /kiss-er and /kiss-ee. Unfortunately, you do still need another person – the game doesn’t let you kiss yourself!

It should also be noted that this season’s achievements only require Burning Crusade and can all be reasonably completed by sub-max-level characters.
